Introducing
'End of Call Recordings', the latest innovation from Pareto
Phone
by Sara Mansfield
Imagine if there was a
way for your donors to listen to the actual voices and heartfelt
words of the people whose lives they have helped to change. Imagine
how touched and moved they would be to hear, first hand, what their
gifts really means – and what the resulting effect might be on your
donor upgrade and retention statistics.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? And the best news is that, thanks to a
brand new innovation from Pareto Phone called ‘End of Call
Recordings’, all this is now possible. And as Sara Mansfield, Head
of Client Services at Pareto Phone explains, both Pareto’s clients
and their supporters love it:
“The use of End of Call Recordings is an innovation that is
as simple as it is powerful. It is an automated process that
triggers a pre-recorded message from a beneficiary or a programme
manager to play at the end of a call, relaying a personal message
of gratitude.
If this sounds straight-forward, that’s because it is. But
that doesn’t mean it isn’t revolutionary. Think about what’s
actually happening when that recording plays. Instead of ending the
call with a simple good bye from a member of the call centre team,
perhaps for the first time ever, the supporter is experiencing
direct contact with someone their money helps.
It’s an experience that strengthens the connection between
them and the charity and in some cases builds it. I have heard some
supporters become emotional and have even had some who weren’t
going to upgrade or respond to an appeal change their mind after
hearing it.”
Pioneering Pareto partners who have already made use of End of
Message Recordings include The National Heart Foundation of
Australia. The charity’s National Donor Relations Manager, Sarah
Lawson, found the experience extremely rewarding:
“The end of call recording we developed with Pareto Phone for
upgrade calls was a great step towards enhancing the interaction
our donors had with us over the phone during the campaign.
The feedback we received from our donors was that
they appreciated the thank you message from the researcher and
felt that it was personal. It helped bring them even closer to
our cause and the work that they're helping to fund.”
